This project explores the current state of the global semiconductor supply chain, examining how trade policies, geopolitical tensions, and shifting demand are influencing the flow of chips around the world. Our goal is to map out the major players, identify regions of concentrated activity, and understand how government initiatives and trade restrictions are reshaping global supply dynamics.
Initially, the project aimed to cover both the semiconductor industry and global AI investment. However, after receiving feedback and refining the scope, the focus shifted solely to semiconductors. This decision allowed for deeper analysis and richer insights into the industry without diluting the research breadth.
Semiconductors are the invisible foundation of the modern digital economy. From smartphones to electric vehicles and data centers to defense systems, chips are critical enablers of innovation and national competitiveness.
